    Oblivion was a designers dream job. Director Joe Kosinski is also a trained architect with a great sense of style and appreciation of the visual arts. So when I was asked to participate from my old friend and classmate Production Designer Darren Gilford I was very excited. My work started with taking another pass at Daniel Simon’s initial Bubble Ship design and trying to define a new design language that was unique to this vehicle and the production in general. My contributions were the spherical engine pods and tetrahedral body shape and a general look for the surface development of the vehicles. This is one of my favorite movies that I have worked on. Its a visually stunning production with a really nice, subtle and thoughtful plot with a few neat twists.
